Whatsapp Pay: On the of 6th November WhatsApp tweeted that they have launched a payment option in WhatsApp for all across India.

 Now, the users of WhatsApp will able to see the payment option in WhatsApp and they can make a transaction in a simple and secure way.       

This WhatsApp pay was stuck in beta version and it has tested its payment service for over two-and-a-half years. But now it has gained official approval from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI)  to launch its Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in a "graded manner".

"Starting today, people across India will be able to send money through WhatsApp.This secure payment experience makes transferring money just as easy as sending a message" Whatsapp said in a tweet.

Whatsapp has over 400m of users in India but this service option has only rolled out to the 0m of users. This is because NPCI has stated that from January 1,2021 and a 30% percent cap will be applied to the total paid version through every third party payment app.

There are 160 Indian Bank are available in the WhatsApp payment, where the user can select their supported bank to initiate the transaction via UPI. Were the ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, the State Bank of India, and Jio Payments Bank are the leading banks of WhatsApp for providing the services.

In the Whatsapp blog, they have mentioned that this is the first real-time system of UPI India, which is designed by the WhatsApp and National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).and they have also mentioned that to use this service user must have a bank account debit and credit card in India.

This Whatsapp service is available in 10 regional languages and it is available for android and ios users. But now this feature is not available on the Whatsapp web.

Before launching this Whatsapp pay, WhatsApp has introduced a disappearing message feature with us. which is live now in our Whatsapp app. We can see that both features after updating our Whatsapp.

So let's talk about what is disappearing message feature in Whatsapp. So once you turn on this disappearing feature your messages that you have sent to an individual or in a group that message will automatically disappear after seven days.

  • If somebody has sent you a message and you do not open your Whatsapp for a seven-day period, the message will disappear. However, the preview of that message might still be displayed in the notification until the Whatsapp is not opened.
  • This feature will work in both groups and in an individual but in a group, only the group admin can turn on this feature.

How to enable Whatsapp disappearing feature 
  • Open your Whatsapp and click on any contact.
  • Then tap on the contact's name section.
  • After that, click on the disappearing message and select on.
How to disable Whatsapp disappearing feature
  • Open your Whatsapp app
  • Click on any contact on which you want to disable 
  • Click on contact's name 
  • Click on the disappearing message and select off.
